Yes, for the very best results removing hardware and then the door or drawer front for working on in a shop or your garage are better.

How do I avoid ugly brush strokes or drips?

Never overload your brush, always brush in one direction, do NOT go back & forth with a brush. Use a small roller wherever you can.

How durable is a painted finish on cabinets?

A professionally applied painted finish on cabinets can last 8 to 15 years with normal use, though durability depends heavily on surface prep and the type of coating used. Standard latex or wall paint chips easily. Cabinet-specific finishes—such as waterborne alkyd enamels, catalyzed conversion varnishes or Urethanes including polyurethane or aluminum oxide based urethane—cure much harder and resist wear, scratches and water far better.

How do I fix a chip or scratch later on?

Yes you can. Lightly feather edge sand and smooth out the area and apply by brush or roller a small amount, let dry and retouch up.

Is it better to paint or replace my kitchen cabinets?

Refreshing your kitchen by painting your cabinets can be a budget-friendly option, particularly if they are sturdy and in good condition. This approach enables you to keep the existing layout while updating the appearance of your space. However, if your cabinets are damaged or you wish to alter the layout altogether, replacing them could be the better choice.

NO, you should always clean & sand your surfaces for better primer bonding, choosing not to do so is considered a short cut & will not last long.

Yes, you can however keep in mind inside boxes take a great deal of time and extra products. In many cases insides are a plastic laminate type coating that is extremely durable.

How long does the entire project take to finish?

You can typically expect 5 days minimum and up to about a week for small to medium kitchens & 10 days for larger ones.

Find a Natural degreaser like Krud Cutter or Chomp, spray and scrub with a soft bristled brush, allow to dry for 24 hrs where a frame & panel gap are present.

Should I use a brush, roller, or paint sprayer?

You can use all of the above, it depends on the size & shape of what you're working on. Spraying the doors is far easier & less time consuming & you get far better results. Flat surfaces and trim can be rolled with the right equipment and application methods.
